Gladys Perez

Gladys W. Perez, 95, of Defiance, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Laurels of Defiance Nursing Home. She was born on August 18, 1928 in Kaufman, Texas to Senon and Josie Guerrero. She was a member at Lirio de los Valle, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She pastored La Hermosa, Bryan, Ohio in 1983 for 10 years. She loved gardening, ministering, her birthdays, and all of her family. She will be greatly missed and remembered by all. Her greatest desire was to see all her family well and serving the Lord. Surviving family include her children, Lupe (Jean) Villarreal, Andres Perez, Jr., Ruben Perez, Elvira (Ruben) Laguna, Antonio (Elena) Perez, Gloria, Eleno Gonzales, Luis Perez, and Hilda Flores; 28 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, and 67 great great-grandchildren. Beside her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Andres Perez, whom she married in 1943; children and children-in-laws, Irma (Juan) Almanza, Robert (Susie) Perez, and Linda Perez; three brothers, and four sisters. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the funeral home with a prayer service at 6:00 pm. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
