Glenn W. Vinz, 78, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. He was born in Sullivan, WI, and was the son of the late Harold and Henrietta (Traeder) Vinz. Glenn was a longtime resident of Defiance, OH. He retired from his managerial position at Brown’s Bakery, Defiance. Following his official retirement, he played (working part time) at Napa Auto Parts. His lifetime passion for classic cars began a joy in collecting, restoring, and/or enhancing the three classic cars he owned. He was a former member of the Maumee Valley Car Club, and was a current a member of The Buick Club of America and the Buick Gran Sport Club. These memberships brought many people into Glenn’s life who became lifelong friends. He also was a sports enthusiast. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Glenn was a lifetime Badgers and Packers fan. He will be missed by so many that his life touched. Glenn is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Armstrong); daughter, Katherine Vinz; and brother, Roger (Irene) Vinz. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Any memorials received from family and friends will be forwarded to the oncology and hematology center that offered such tremendous care throughout Glenn’s illness.
