

GLORIA MAE CULP, 84, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law and aunt went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2011. Born May 26, 1926, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Thomas G. Windsor of London, England and Rosella L. Moore. She was a graduate of North Side High School. Before becoming a homemaker she worked at G.C. Murphy, GTE, Wayne Knitting Mill and Wolf & Dessauer. Her 72 years in music touched the lives of all who knew her and included 40 years of directing various youth choirs. She dearly loved her family, friends, music and above all her Lord. Survivors include her son, A. Brian (Vicki) Culp of Findlay, Ohio; daughter, Claudia B. (David) Ball of Tampa, Fla.; son, Phillip R. (Gail) Culp of Fort Wayne; son, Timothy D. (Kathie) Culp of Indianapolis; and daughter, Ruth E. (David) Kaufman of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by beloved husband of 54 years, George Reed Culp (from Wilkes-Barre, Pa.). Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Aboite Baptist Church, Homestead Road, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive family and friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday April 22 at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St. Interment will follow service in Highland Park Cemetery.
