Ah, what memories I have of the Culp Family in my mental scrapbook.  My first contact with the Culp family was in 1966 when Claudia left her billfold at Crystal Lake camp where I had been counseling for the summer.  Joe Moulton and I delivered it to the family.  A few weeks later they attended a morning service at Westridge Baptist Church and eventually joined our fellowship.  I have nothing but the foundest memories of and greatest admiration for George, Gloria and the children.  They came to the rescue of our fledgling church when I as a pastor of a few months hadn't a clue as to what I was doing.  Thanks to the Culps, a briliant musical program was developed.  Gloria had the gift of bringing out musical ability that people didn't even know they had.  Of course, it was a delight to see the children grow up and become upstanding adults.  The thing that stands out most in my memory is that Gloria lived for activity.  George dutifully supported her many projects.  Their reward is great in heaven.  Marilyn and I wish all you children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren the best.  We wish we could have attended the memorial service, but timing made it impossible.  I am glad that I could make a modest repayment for all the musical instruction Gloria gave to me in the several audio tapes that I was able to send her of the old style easy listening Christian music of yesteryear that we both loved.  Revelation chapters four and five give us themes of some of the music of heaven.  I'm sure Gloria is now in her "glory" enjoying the best of the best in the musical arts.  I look forward to a reunion of the Choraliers and all the saints as we "around the Throne" sing "worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive glory, honor and power for Thou hast created all things and by Thy hand all things were created." We have many fond memories of Gloria from our Aboite Baptist days. We admired her energy and the way she used her talents for her Lord. We also appreciated her and George's work with the Choralaires and the opportunity it afforded the young people in the church. We still find ourselves singing those songs. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss...Our loss, Heaven's gain.

Gloria was a dear friend who faihfully kept in touch with me through the years aftee my Temple Missionay Training School daysl. The student loved her and I especially enjoyed singing  to her lovely piano accompaniment.  It was my pleasure to stay in her home a the timeof the  1990 TMTS reunion.  I  will miss her greatly and rejoice that she has gone to her heavenly home.

Dear Culp Family,

I rejoice with you in that Gloria is safely Home with her Heavenly Father.  She lived her whole life for the day she died.  I was introduced to Gloria when I was a young pastor's wife in a little country church in Roan, IN.  She brought her choir to our annual homecoming service.  They were a tremendous blessing to both I and my husband and our little country church.  We eventually moved to Ft. Wayne, IN and were privileged to have the Culps in our congregation.  Gloria was a gifted and talented woman.  She did it all.  She could sing, play the piano and the organ, direct choirs (children, youth, and adult), and direct Christmas plays.  She could put together the banquet of all banquets.  She always had to have a light spot (a skit, a good story, etc.).  Gloria was instrumental in getting my husband involved in skits.  She loved "Tiny Tim", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Blow out the Candle, Johnny", and his most famous skit "Peanut Butter and Jelly."

Yes, Gloria, I will miss you.  I will miss your fellowship and your laughter.  Even in suffering you led a godly life.  I always loved you for your service and your commitment to the Lord.

George & Gloria were my second parents. I lived with them while my own parents were out of the country as missionaries.  When George passed I went up for the funeral.  After, I sat at Gloria's kitchen table while Gloria told stories of when Brian and I were teenagers.  Gloria gave of herself to so many. She will be remembered for all she gave to so many of us.

George and Gloria Culp were truly very special friends. They always welcomed us into their home and lives. Though we have been separated by many years and miles, our common bond of Christian love transcended both time and distance.
May our GOD comfort you in your loss and heaven’s gain.

          So sorry to hear about Aunt Gloria's passing. Will miss the great family reunions with her and her wonderful singing. No doubt she now sings with angels on high..

Culp Family,
Sorry to hear about Gloria.  We thought alot of her and of George.  We loved the Progressive Dinners that she planned and we participated in.  We remembered George signing at our wedding, 54 years ago.  We will miss her

Since Gloria had no siblings, she was very close to all of George's large family. One thing we all appreciate - she spent many hours putting together a Culp family genealogy and sent copies to each one. We will all miss her and send our deepest sympathy.  Uncle Bill and Aunt Elsie
