Golda Bernice Pierce, 83 passed away December 25, 2018 at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Albany KY, to the late Robert C. and Vida H. Melton. Bernice graduated from Albany High School in 1955 and Fort Wayne Commercial College in 1961. She has been a resident of Fort Wayne for the past 67 years. Bernice was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flower garden. She worked at Magnavox and later Raytheon for 34 years as an Engineer’s Assistant. She is survived by her daughters Margaret “Maggie” (Terry) Karst of Churubusco, IN; Connie (Steve) Alles of Monroeville, IN; Debra Pierce of Fort Wayne, IN; brothers, Danny C. (Donna) Melton, Donnie Melton, and a sister Margie (Bobbie) Graham all of KY; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 am Saturday January 5, 2019 at Mungovan Simple Funeral Home, 2114 South Calhoun Street Fort Wayne, IN, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday January 4, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery Fort Wayne.
