Gregory Craig

Gregory Craig Sr. was born on October 26, 1953, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Willis Craig Jr. and Willie Etta Craig. He was a loving son, devoted father, cherished grandfather, beloved brother, and dear friend.

Gregg had a warm heart, a joyful spirit, and a smile that could brighten any room. His presence brought comfort and laughter to those around him, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Gregg was employed by Harvester and Fleet Services, formerly North American Van Lines, where he faithfully worked until his retirement. He took pride in his work and was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand.

Outside of work, Gregg enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved working with his hands, bowling, playing cards, putting together puzzles, and mowing “anyone’s” lawn. Whether he was sharing a laugh, enjoying a friendly game, or helping someone in need, Gregg found joy in being there for others. Gregg was a current member of Summit Church, where he was actively involved in the church community and valued the fellowship and connections he shared with others.

Above all, Gregg cherished his family and friends deeply. His compassion, laughter, strength, and generous spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love will continue to live on through his family. His brothers/sisters in love, Tommy; Yvette; Tony; Oartel; and Gwen. Marlon Matthews, Darius Craig, and Sylviana Craig hold a meaningful place in the Gregg’s life and are valued for the support, care, and positive impact. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever carry his love, wisdom, laughter, and memory in their hearts.

Gregg was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Willis and Willie Etta Craig; siblings, Lawrence Craig and Amos Craig.

Though he is no longer with us in person, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will remain forever.

Visitation will be held at Dupree Memorial Church of God, 1231 Hayden St, Fort Wayne, IN 46803, US, on August 22, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
