Guenther B Nytz

April 30, 2022. He was born on May 18, 1940 in Munich, Germany, a

son of the late Bernhard and Hedwig Nytz (nee Kalus)

He immigrated to the United States while in his early 20’s and settled in

Erie, PA where he found and was married to his “honeyline” Walli

(Graf) for 59 years. Walli preceded Guenther in passing four months

earlier on December 31st 2021.

Guenther worked at Erie Malleable Iron - EMI Co, through various

owner and name changes, for over 40 years, starting in the foundry and

retiring as the Senior Cost Analyst.

If there ever was a question of what wine, beer or good drink to enjoy

with certain food and occasions, he was always happy to lend advice and

celebrate along.

He was a member of the New Apostolic Church, and served as a

Deacon.

Surviving family include children Karin Diefenbach (Mark) of Fort

Wayne, IN and Peter Nytz (Tiffany) of Dunkirk, NY, along with two

grandchildren Natalie and Alex. And his sister Renate Bergmeier of

Gilbert, AZ.

A funeral service will be held for Guenther and Walli on July 23rd at

11:00am at the New Apostolic Church 3401 Terry Lane, Fort Wayne, IN
