Hal “Buck” JR. Shambly, 71, of Fort Wayne passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019. He was born on October 24, 1948 in Macon, Mississippi to the late Hal Shambly and Lillie Cochran. Buck had worked for the John Manfield Company for over 30 years. He faithfully attended True Love Baptist Church for many years. Buck enjoyed going fishing, shooting pool, and playing cards. He loved to take trips to the Casino with his son and spend time with his family. Buck is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Shambly; children, Henry (Yvonne) Shambly, Genice (William) Shambly- Robinson, Gerome (Michelle Thompson) Shambly, Ikea (William) Smith; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Bell Mason and Betty Midina; and brother, Henry Cochran. Also preceding him in passing was his step-mom, Anne Shambly; brother, Bobby Stidman; and a great-granddaughter. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at D.O. McComb & Sons funeral home 6301 Fairfield Ave. Fort Wayne (IN 46807) with visitation two hours prior. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
