

Harriet V. Harris, 93, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday May 13, 2014, at St. Anne’s Home. She was born August 15, 1920, in Berne, Indiana, to Charles A. and Ethel (Macy) Teeter and lived most of her adult life in Fort Wayne and later moved to Fort Meyers, Florida. She was employed as a dental assistant and office manager for several dental offices in Fort Wayne. Harriet served in the US Navy during WWII in San Diego, California. Harriet loved to travel and enjoyed living in the warmth and sunshine of Florida!
She is survived by her sons, Patrick Oberley, James (Elizabeth) Oberley; stepson, John (Frances) Harris; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Morton Harris, husband, Gerald Oberley; her parents; brothers, Howard and wife Vera Teeter, Calvin and wife Dorothy Teeter; sister, Helen and husband Darrel Bolds.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday May 17, at St. Anne’s Home, 1900 Randallia Dr., Fort Wayne, with Pastor Bryce Winteregg officiating. This will be a private family service. Memorial donations may be given to St. Anne’s Home or Parkview Home Health and Hospice. Arrangements by Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service, Fort Wayne.
