

Harrison Leroy Madison was born November 19th, 1935 in Fort Wayne Indiana as the third child of Harrison George Madison and Caroline Vivian Walters. His other siblings were Jean Eloise Perry and Samuel Jerome Sutton. All four of them preceded him in death.
Harrison was fortunate to have another mother “Moms,” Mabel Ruth Goings and siblings; Sisters: Sharon (Reggie) Jordan, Marsha (Rick) Tabron-White, Linda “Squeak,” Causey, and Christina I Goings. Brothers: Captain Milton “Corky” Turner (Deceased) and Carlos Goings, all of Fort Wayne Indiana.
Harrison was united in holy matrimony to Deloris “Patsy” Talley (Deceased) and they had two daughters, Tamara D and Yolanda Elise Madison (Deceased). Later two sons, Kevin Wiley Sr., and David Wiley were born to Ella Mae Wiley.
Harrison attended school in the Fort Wayne and Chicago Cook County Public School Systems. Harrison enlisted in the US Marine Corps shortly after graduating from High School.
During his 22 year military career, Harrison was stationed at Camp Pendleton, Marine Corp Base in Hawaii, and Paris Island, SC. Harrison also served in Vietnam for 13 months where he earned the Purple Heart Medal for Bravery. Harrison’s final stop before retiring from the Marine Corp was his position as First Sergeant of the Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia.
Harrison moved to Atlanta where he worked for the City of Atlanta at the World Congress Center until his retirement. He spent the remainder of his life in Georgia, loving his family, friends, his music, watching tv, working out at the gym with his comrades and cracking jokes.
Harrison was a man of faith and he believed in God.
Harrison is survived by His Daughter Tamara Madison (Fort Wayne, IN), His two sons, Kevin (Sheila) and David Wiley (Beaufort, SC), Uncle Sandy (Gayle) Madison of Merriville, IN, Special Nephew Duane (Lois) Perry (Indianapolis, IN), Regina Gibbs, Special Friend and Caregiver (Riverdale, GA), Friend of 55 years Robert “Moon” Mullins and a host of family, relatives, and friends.
Committal Service for Mr. Harrison Leroy Madison will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Advantage-Highland Park, 2403 E. Wallen Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Interment at Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne, IN. Harrison is survived by his daughter, Tamara Madison; two sons, Kevin (Sheila) and David Wiley; uncle, Sandy (Gayle) Madison; special nephew, Duane (Lois) Perry; special friend and caregiver, Regina Gibbs; friend of 55 years, Robert “Moon” Mullins; and a host of family, relatives, and friends.
