Dear Mom,

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day.  I hope you are resting in peace.  I love you dearly. I  will always be with you and you with me.

My most memorable days were when Mary and I spent the Holidays with Helen and Greg. The most memorable was a shared vacation in Cape Cod when we had a table full of LOBSTERS!

I truly miss those days together.

Mom loved to go antique shopping.  She owned lots of antique clocks, dolls, miniature clocks, Indian items., candlesticks.  She loved to travel and had been to many places including Italy, France, Spain, England, Caribbean, Colorado, California, Arizona, North Carolina , Indiana, Canada and Florida.

We had fun.  Going to garage sales, walking on the sand on Long Beach, eating lobster and steamers at Lido beach.  You gave me a love of reading and learning.  You showed me generosity and forgiveness.  I will always think:  what would Mom do in this situation?  I love you.  Thank you forever.  Your daughter, Laura

Grandma Helen always remembered the important things in her grand childrens' lives. I loved going to the beach and doing puzzles with her during summer vacations. She was so generous to help Carrie and I further our education, and for that we'll always be grateful.

I'll miss Grandma a lot, but I'm sure that she's happy and comfortable where she is now. 

Mom, I will miss you very much. I know how much you enjoyed family gatherings  with  our families including our aunts and uncles. We try still today to keep this going as best we can because you taught me how important it is.  I enjoyed going to antique shops with you. I hope that I will have the same relationship with my children and grandchildren as you have had with all of us. 

Growing up, I remember getting together with all the family at Grandma's apartment for Christmas. It was always a special time and thats where I found my love of stuffed arichokes. She always spoiled us grandkids with her generous gift giving. I remember all the cactus she had and her love of plants.  And I remember all the bangles, rings and necklaces she always wore. She had a love for the beach that I inherited and I'm so thankful we spent every year of my childhood going together. I will miss her!

All of the great grandchildren in 2019, number 8 is due anytime now.

Grandma, you were and always will be so very important to me. A best friend throughout my life. I remmeber you chasing me as a young child in the yard, you attended everything I did. Performances at school, soccer games, band concerts, graduations, you were there. I remember sleeping over at your house in NY. We could walk to the water, you had that cool laundry chut in the bathroom and you let us put makeup on! As a teenager, we spoke everyday on the phone for years. You knew everything! You were there in the recovery room when both of my kids were born, one of the first people to see and hold them. We have had so many good times, laughing playing games and eating. We were always eating! Cheese boards, quiche, olives for our fingers, there was always a spread at your house. It was the gathering place for our family. Christmas, easter, birthdays, so many pictures of the whole extended family at your house. You really brought everyone together. The christmas beanie baby grab bags of the 90's were one of my favorite things! Then there were the summer vacations at the beach. Since I was a baby, we went to the beach with you each summer. Thank you for the years of beach trips with cousins, thank you for the memories they provided and the bonds they created. Thank you for loving the beach and me. I will forever carry you with me and will never forget all you taught me. Love Always, Your First Grandchild, Caroline

The family gathered around you, Mom Q. So many wonderful memories of family scattered far and wide coming together under your wings. You loved games and were such a good sport even when you lost, even when you played a game you didn't really like too much over and over. You'd say, "Oh my God, I hate this game," when you got annoyed with it, but then you'd be right there with us next time we played it!😄 You loved your family well, Mom Q, and that's a wonderful legacy.

I really liked to play games with Grandma, like rumikub and tic tac toe. I liked doing puzzles with her. I miss her a lot. Love, Adelina

Mom , we will always remember your warm smile and how much you cared for all of us. You were always there to help us.  You were loved  very much and will be missed.  Although I was your  daughter-in-law, you always treated me as a daughter and for that I am forever grateful. Mom, you made lots of memories for us to never forget. 

My grandma was always the center of my family, bringing everyone together for holidays. I will miss playing games and talking with her. She would always say something to make me laugh and I will always appreciate how she supported me throughout my life.

Helen was the all-time best "Mom Next Door" when my sister and I were growing up in Beechhurst.  So much so that I have thought about her fondly throughout my life.  In her warm and dignified way she was a constant source of comfort and strength to my whole family.  She exemplified love.  She will always live in my heart.


Helen and I enjoyed playing card games with a glass of red wine in hand. Her quick wit and fun-loving banter put a smile on our faces. She is greatly loved and will be missed dearly. 

I remember Helen as having a big smile and such a passion for life. Home love to go antiquing. Had quite a collection of clocks. My mom and Helen used to go and taking all the time. They had such great times together.

Thanks for teaching me to enjoy life.  You brought bowling, bocce and golf into our lives.  You inspired me to participate in all sports, to not be afraid to try.  I still wish I could hit a golf ball as straight as you!  Always right down the middle of the fairway.  Its no wonder you won so many golf tournaments.

It always brings warmth, love, joy to me when I think about how you would take time to go for walks with me down by the water.  Great memory of our bond.
