Helen R. Hunter Sylvester

HELEN R. SYLVESTER, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, 7:15 a.m., at Parkview Hospital. Born March 22, 1924, in LaGrange, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Roman and Nina (Frick) Hunter. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Elks Lodge 155 and American Legion Post 499. Surviving are five daughters, Linda Sylvester of Fort Meyers, Fla., Dianna Raskosky of Hamilton, Ind., Debbie Rodriguez of Angola, Ind., Jill Perry of Fremont, Ind. and Kelly Moreau of Garrett, Ind.; two sons, Raymond Sylvester Jr. of Fremont, Ind. and Steven Sylvester of Angola, Ind.; sister, Eleanor Price of Syracuse, Ind.; 19 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Service is 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor William Smith officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in Swan Cemetery, LaOtto, Ind.
