Henry Washington, 90, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017. He was born on April, 15, 1927 in Ferriday, LA, the son of the late Sam and Beatrice Woods. Henry loved sports, mostly baseball and boxing, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He loved spending time with his family, who are all near and dear to his heart. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Washington; step-children, Monica Stevenson, and Darnell Stevenson; sister-in-law, Alberta (J.C.) Holifield; nephew, Tony (Jackie) Woods; brothers-in-law, Willie (Bobbie) Stevenson, and William Atkins; and mother-in-law, Earnestine Thomas; niece, Linda Woods; great-nephews, Julian Woods, and Elder Marcus Neal. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary Atkins. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11AM with visitation 1 hour prior ad D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, In 46805.
