Herman Burson

Herman G. Burson, 85, passed away on January 9, 2022 at Majestic Care Nursing Home, New Haven, Indiana. Herman was the fourth son of the late Rev. Hugh W. Burson Sr. and Agnes Adeline (Whitfield) Burson of Elkhart, Indiana. He married Mary Lloyd ( Sutton) Burson on July 5, 1969 in Elkhart, Indiana; she preceded him in death; Herman was also preceded in death by his parents, older brothers Hugh W. Burson Jr., Harold Burson, Ralph Burson; older sisters Bernice Myers, Beatrice Rice, Blondell Filer, Beverly Hanks. He is survived by his daughter Mary Joanne Boone of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Stacey Coats, Shamia Bostick and Adream Parker; sisters Barbara Jean Blair of Carson Calif., Brenda Bryce of Chandler AZ, and a host of nieces and nephews across the states.

Herman's favorite R&B artist was Marvin Gaye, but he also had a love for jazz, movies, golf, and swimming. His laughter and free spirit will be forever missed.
