Herman proudly served his country in the Navy, and retired from Lennox Heating and Air. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mildred Hayworth; children, Robert (Marty) Hayworth, Linda Strode, and Nancy (Dean) Riesterer; 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, and sister-in-law, Eugene and Bonnie Hayworth.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00pm on Monday, February 21, 2022, at The River Church, 1515 Magnavox Way, Fort Wayne, with calling from 4:00 to 6:00pm, two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery, Marion.
