Hilda Wiehe

HILDA WIEHE 103, a lifelong resident of Ft. Wayne, died January 27, 2016, in Indianapolis. Hilda was born May 23, 1912 to Ernst and Bertha Kruse. She grew up on a farm near Arcola and attended Emmaus Lutheran School and The Lutheran Institute, from which she graduated in 1928. She worked at Wayne Hardware during the 1930’s and subsequently with her husband in the family business.

In 1935, she married Ferd Wiehe, who died in 1991. She was the mother of Richard (Pat) and Ronald (Charlotte). Her son, Ronald, died in 1975. She leaves five grandchildren: Morgan Wandell, Sarah Wiehe, Petra Wiehe-Lieberman, Aaron Wiehe, and Michael Wandell. There are six great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Henry, Anika, Dylan, Annabel, and Samuel. Visitation will be one hour prior at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 917 W.
