Howard Duane "Howie" Fry, age 56, of Grabill, Indiana passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Parkview Hospice with his family by his side. Howard was born July 17, 1965 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Karen Jean (Smith) Flathau and adopted by Alan Fry. He was a 1983 graduate of Carroll High School and grew up attending Our Hope Lutheran Church in Huntertown. Howard drove the Little Debbie route in the NE Allen county area and was a member of The Awakening Church in Huntington.
Howard is survived by his mother, Karen Jean (Smith) Flathau; step-father, John Flathau; sisters, Kristi Morris (Brendan), Tonja Ashton (Jeff), and Shannon Bowers, brother, Troy Fry; his step-brothers, John Fathau (Jeanette) and Ryan Fathau (Stacy); 6 nieces and 6 nephews; and many great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Howard was preceded in death by his father, Alan Fry; grandparents, Margaret Smith, Lester Smith, and Donald Smith; and cousin, Denise Cook.
The family will gather to celebrate his life at a later date.
