Ila O. Jones

Ila O. Jones, 83, of Kendallville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Lutheran Life Villages of Kendallville. She was born December 8, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank A. and Ethel C. (Vanyo) Winzeler. Ila was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. She loved the outdoors, especially tending to her flowers and gardening, traveling, and going to family picnics at Camp Sack-In Campground in Angola. Ila’s deepest joys were being Blair’s lifelong love and best friend, as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Wayne. Ila is survived by her husband of 66 years, Blair M. Jones of Kendallville, IN; children, Kimberly Jean (Jeff Harrell) Williams of Spencerville, IN, Michael Jones of Fort Wayne, IN, Jennifer Lynn (Mark) Zern of Auburn, IN, Jeffrey Allen (Lisa) Jones of New Haven, IN; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Adeline (Al) Kish of Gilbert, AZ. A funeral service to honor Ila's life and legacy will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation two hours prior. She will be laid to rest at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, 5300 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne.
