Inez L. Swangin, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Kingston Care Center. Born April 12, 1934 in Knoxville, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Horace and Dezeary (Widby) Capps. She was employed with Magnavox for over 27 years, from which she retired in 1993. Inez never knew a stranger and was always very sociable and sweet. She is survived by her children, Lynn (Kathy) Swangin of Oceanside, Calif., Larry Swangin of Fort Wayne, Calvin (Terry) Swangin of Fort Wayne, Debra (Dennis) Jordan of Albion, Linda (Fletcher) Grover of Butler, and Kelly Swangin of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; siblings, J.C. (Barbara) Capps of Calif., Catherine (Andrew) Long, Wiley (Reba) Capps, Maynard (Gale) Capps, Douglas (Marcella) Capps, Joe (Kay) Capps, Howard (Connie) Capps, and Otis Capps, all of Tenn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Condy William Swangin; daughter, Brenda Sliger; siblings, Patsy Rutledge and James Capps; and great-grandson, Callen Jordan. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm on Monday, February 11, 2019 at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home, Pine Valley, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be 1-4pm on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home, Pine Valley. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
