Irma Elaine (Isernhagen) Smith, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, peacefully at her home. Born on July 10, 1941, in St. Francis, Kansas, she was a daughter of the late William and Ida (Wolfe) Isernhagen.
She was assistant Vice President of Anthony Wayne Bank for 15 years and a real estate agent with Caldwell Banker for 29 years.
She was a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Her biggest love was her family! She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Smith, and Kristy (Paul) Grabowski, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Brandy (Ron) Dantzer of Fort Wayne, Chad Hitchcock, of Lynn Haven, FL, Mark Grabowski, and Kevin (Merissa) Grabowski both of Fort Wayne; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Rein, Billy Isernhagen; and brother-in-law, Steve (Doris) Smith, all from Colorado, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ronald Lane Smith, in 2008; brother, Melvin Isernhagen; and brothers-in-law, Don Rein and Randy Smith.
A Celebration of Life Service to honor Irma’s life and legacy will be held from 2:00 to 4:00pm, Sunday, November 20, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with a memorial service at 3:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
