Isaac David Jernigan, 18, of Roanoke, Indiana, passed away on July15, 2021. He was born on June 9, 2003 in Fort Wayne. Isaac was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seeton Catholic Church and the Rugby Blues team at Homestead High School. He was an avid Marvel comic, anima fan, and loved to play video games. Isaac always played rugby with tremendous heart, courage, and even bagged a try in his first season playing. He consistently took hits from players twice his size and got right back up with a smile every time. Somewhere in between the class clown and the teams collective little brother, Isaac brought countless smiles and laughs to the team that will be so sorely missed. He is survived by his parents, Marc and Wendy Jernigan; brothers, Bryce and Chase Jernigan; uncle, Todd (Bridgette) Scherber; great uncle, Michael Cox; and grandma, Judith Scherber. Preceding him in passing was his grandpa, Richard Scherber ; and grandma, Patricia Jernigan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Thursday, July, 22, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 10700 Aboite Center Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Home 6424 Winchester Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819.
