Jack E. Hughes, 86, died Friday, April 4, 2014 at Lutheran Life Village. He retired from General Electric after 35 years where he was a Personnel Specialist. Jack was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge #537 of Garrett, American Legion Post 178 of Garrett, and the G.E. Quarter Century Club and the Supervisors Club. He and his wife Eloise thoroughly enjoyed traveling she preceded him in death in 2009. He was the son of Oscar D. and Bertha I. (Tindall) Hughes and had received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Indiana University. Surviving are his daughters, Terri A. Hughes and Kathy Hughes Klinger both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Katie (Brandon) Hirsch, Sarah (Nick) Keefer, and Christopher Klinger; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Winchester Road Chapel where friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time. Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
