Jack A. Mochamer, passed away at Lutheran Hospital on Friday, September 14, 2018. He was a practicing attorney in Fort Wayne since 1960. He was a graduate of Auburn High School. He attended Western Michigan University where he received a degree in Business Administration. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt School of Law and a member of Delta Theta Phi Fraternity. He practiced for many years with the firm of Wyss, Mochamer, Roby, Ryan and Myers. He was named by his peers as one of the best lawyers in Fort Wayne in 2012. He was a 32 degree Mason, Scottish Rite, Mizpah Temple. He was a past member of the Allen County and State Bar Associations and other social and business organizations. He served in the United States Army as a 1st Lieutenant Company Commander. His many interests include being at Lake Wawasee, boating, fishing, traveling, reading and enjoying the company of his family, his many friends, and clients. He is survived by his daughter, Molly Mochamer and his special companion, Jan Austin both living in Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Braun) Mochamer, parents, Hubert and Eleanora Mochamer; sister, Joan Collier; and brother, Robert Mochamer. Per Jack’s requests, private services will be held at a later date. Greenlawn Funeral Home, Fort Wayne is handling arrangements. Memorials may be sent to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave. Chicago, IL 60707.
