

Jack A. Shaheen, 77, of Fort Wayne, Ind. passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born in Bloudan, Syria on January 11, 1945 to Abraham and Azizeh Shaheen and immigrated to the United States in 1955. He served in the United States Navy for four years, including time aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard (CVA 31), and was honorably discharged in 1969. Jack worked at General Electric for forty-one years, retiring in 2005. He loved working in his yard and garden, tending to his vegetables and fruit trees. Jack enjoyed playing golf, running, playing chess, and loved being a dad, grandpa, and great grandpa. He is survived by his wife of over forty-seven years, Lamia (Sulaiman) Shaheen; daughters, Karen (Bryan) Lineberry, Kristin (Joe) Pauken, and Kimberly Shaheen all of Fort Wayne, Ind.; grandchildren, Hope Pauken, Jacob Pauken, Caleb Lineberry, and CJ Lineberry; great-granddaughter, Ellianna Pauken; and sister, Julia Mourad of Bloudan, Syria. He was preceded in death by his son, David Shaheen; parents, Abraham and Azizeh (Namoria) Shaheen; brothers, Mel Shaheen, Shaheen Shaheen, and Nasif Shaheen; and sisters, Mariam Slayman and Lila Mora. Funeral Service is 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Highland Park, 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Ind. with calling one hour prior.
