Jacqueline J Nichols

JACQUELINE JANE NICHOLS, 85, passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, in Fort Wayne. Born Feb. 8, 1929, in Lexington, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Louis R. and Freda E. (Brightmeier) Beck. Jackie worked at International Harvester where she met Ralph, her loving husband of 64 years. She also worked at Baer Field International Airport as Manager's Administrator for 10 years. She enjoyed sewing knitting, reading, square dancing, charades, camping, Florida vacations, and above all caring for her family. "Jackie was the cornerstone of our family and we will miss her immensely and pray she rests in peace." Surviving are her husband, Ralph Nichols; children, Sue Ann (Chuck) Simpson, Debra Nichols, Sharon (Jim) Cordova, and Steven Nichols; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Jan Schey and Doris Closson; and a special friend, Liz Lydy. She was preceded in death by a 14-month-old son, Larry. Service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling 30 minutes before service.
