James "Jim" D. Biddle, 86, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. He was born February 28, 1939, in Ossian, Indiana, son to the late Ned Brooks and Edna Marie (Roberts) Biddle. Jim worked as an extra gang foreman, as a truck driver for Norfolk and Southern Railway, retiring in 2001. Jim was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church and loved spending time with his family. Jim never met a stranger; he was joyful and kind. He was a fun-loving person that loved his family and was very proud of them. He is survived by his wife, Willie M. Biddle of Fort Wayne; children, Ned (Robin) Biddle of Leo, Indiana, Tad (Kathy) Biddle of New Haven, Indiana, Penny Ruhl of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Amy (Curt) Wills of Roanoke, Indiana; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna Biddle; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gloria Dean, William Biddle, Patricia Franke, and Jeron Biddle. Funeral services for Jim will be on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Contributions in Jim's memory may be made to St. Michael Lutheran Church.
