James W. Dammeier, 69, passed away Monday July 21. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Bernard and Adeline Dammeier. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving his country during the Vietnam War and was retired from the US Postal Service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 241, St. Paul Lutheran Church and CLHS- Alumni Association. He enjoyed watching football and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife Sharon; sons Jeremy (Jennifer) Dammeier of Franklin, Indiana and Justin (Betsy) Dammeier of Westfield, Indiana; grandchildren Jacob, Corin, Makenna and Jackson; and sister Debra Rathgaber- Terry of Auburn, Indiana.
Funeral services will be11:00 Monday July 28, 2014 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home 6424 Winchester Road with visitation 1 hour prior service. Visitation will also be 2-4 and 6-8 Sunday July 27, 2014. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
