James “Jimmy” R. Edelman III, 23, of Roanoke, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020. He was born on December 15, 1996 in Fort Wayne. Jimmy graduated from Homestead High School and worked at Carlex Glass. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Jimmy was an avid collector, from Military artifacts to Snoopy, was a history buff, and had a passion for cars. He loved to tinker with his Firebird and VW Beetle. Jimmy is survived by his parents, James “Jim” ( Kathy) R. Edelman II; brother, Dean Edelman; grandpa, Edward King; grandma, Sybil Edelman; aunts, Debra (Doug) Treesh, Connie (Bill) McAffee, and Heather Stetler; uncle, Edward King Jr.; and cousins, Christopher Treesh, Jeff (Meghann) Treesh, Jason Treesh, Jessica Treesh, Ryan King, Carson King, Nicholas King, William Stetler, and Skylar Stetler. Preceding Jimmy in passing was his grandpa, James R. Edelman I; and grandma, Utahnna King. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 18, 2020 at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes-Fost 6301 Fairfield Ave. Fort Wayne, Indiana 46807, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Erin’s House.
