James C. “Jim” McArdle, II, 64 of Fort Wayne, IN passed away October 21, 2018. He was born December 25, 1953 in Fort Wayne, IN. Jim was a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Theater Arts and traveled extensively throughout Europe performing Shakespeare in numerous theaters. At one time Jim resided in Delray Beach, Florida and was known as “The Kite Man” as he was a stunt kite flyer and once owned a kite shop there. Jim was the Owner and Operator of Pro Tackle Outfitters in Ft. Wayne for over 25 years. He had a passion for the outdoors and he especially loved fishing and was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Bass Masters. Jim is survived by his sisters, Kathy (Jim) Hawkins of Rotonda West, FL, Margaret McArdle of Fort Wayne, IN, and Mindy (Bob) Pennycoff of Fort Wayne, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Billie L (Beaver) McArdle and his son, Mac McArdle. Services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 11 AM at D O McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home 8325 Covington Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation there Thursday, October 25th 5-8 PM and Friday from 10-11 AM. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be directed to Visiting Nurse Hospice or Ducks Unlimited.
