He was a truck driver for several companies in the Fort Wayne area, with a CB handle “Fuzzy Chicken”.
James was a former volunteer at the Allen County ASPCA (now Humane Fort Wayne).
James was retired and enjoyed going to watch stock car races at various tracks around the tri-state area, working around his property, spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren at sporting events and be found tinkering with some kind of project. His passion for all kinds of furry critters was second to none. He would rescue, train, and house any animal in need. His dog, Emma was never far from his side. She was his pride and joy and every adventure included her.
He is survived by his son, Jared (Amanda) Radford of Hicksville, OH; stepchildren, Justin (Anna) Howard of North Carolina, Carly (James) Trahin of New Haven, IN; brother, Jerry Meadows of Shelbyville, TN: sisters, Joyce Kring of Fort Wayne, IN; Jaunita (John) Overmyer of Payne, OH; sister in law, Deb Radford of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Blaine Gier-Grant, Kyler Bibbee, Adelynn Radford, Isabella Howard, Jordan and Caleb Seddelmeyer and his beloved dog, Emma.
