My dear Jim.   I write this as your memory is being honored, 1.30 Saturday November 14th.    I will so miss our wines, your colorful campfires....here on Powerline Road, FL....campfires always started earlier than cocktail hour....loved that!.....and thanks for introducing  me to the portable ice-maker.....still going strong.....always a memory of you, dear special friend. My family lived down the street from Lynda and Jim for many years. We’ve spent many evenings around backyard fire pits sharing stories and beverages. My most favorite memory of Jim involved me trying to mow my yard when it was way to wet to do so. Unfortunately, I got the tractor totally stuck in the ditch and Jim drove his tractor down and pulled me out. He had ample opportunities to tease me about this, but he never did for which I am eternally grateful. Jim was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed.  Maybe he and my mom can share some Hot Damn up in heaven. ❤️

I’ve been Jim’s neighbor for 30 plus years.  From assembling an entertainment center to getting in trash cans, he was always there to help in any way he could.  Fond memories of Jim include summer porch “wine” parties as well as “Blitz” card games with neighbors.  Jim always kept things lively!! Living in Golden Acres will never be the same without the “Mayor” making sure all is in order. You are already greatly missed🙏. Rest In Peace, Mr. Jim!

My Dad 

I so looked forward to the daily Skype sessions we had for the last 3 years.   He loved to talk, I loved to listen, a match made.  He was a father who loved family activities like boating, camping, biking, golfing, horseback riding, hiking and many other outdoor activities. He passed that love on to his four boys, who in turned have passed it on to their children. Our annual 14-day camping trips/family reunions for the last 20 years have kept us all very close.  Life has its ups and downs and when one of his children needed help, he came to them, without question, and stayed until the problem was resolved.  A wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, and friend.  I will miss him so much.


The Roussey house was always a great place to hang out.  From rides to Pizza Hut or school, building a raft for the raft race to a reunion of the old gang, gosh 20+ years ago now...

Great memories.

I worked with Jim for nearly all of my 38 years at IH/Navistar and always considered him a great friend.  I am still in disbelief at Jim's passing.  We just sat at the same table at the last Hero's luncheon less than 2 weeks before November 2nd.   We discussed many memories from work, union meetings, our families, and the longevity of our parents.  I had no idea he was in anything but great health.  

He talked at length about each of you and his pride in his family.  I hope all your wonderful memories will help you thru this sad and difficult time.

Sorry for the loss of Jim. I worked with Jim in the Electronic lab at IH. These later years we attended the monthly luncheon with the gang at Lakeside Golf course then the Lakeside restaurant. I always enjoyed listening to Jim talk about his camping trips and the winter times in Florida. 

I would love going to the showing but the COVID 19 keeps me from doing that. Now we all have memories of the good times we have spent with Jim.

I worked with Jim at Navistar. When I first started in 1986 my saying to Jim was "you have been here longer than I have been alive". When Jim Retired I had the pleasure of taking over the Suppler golf outing that he organized for many years. A lot of great memories with Jim both at work and on the golf course. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. 


I worked with and knew Jim from IH/Navistar. I enjoyed Jim immensely . He was always available and helpful when I needed help. This was true even in the past couple years with the Harvester Homecoming.
I will truly miss him. May God  bless his family at this time.

Jim was the best big brother I ever had or anyone could have been blessed with. He gave me me my first cigarette. I was ten. He took me swimming at Markle.  He gave me a ride home from the County jail.  He allowed me to drive his car and taught me how to waterski and drive a boat.  He liked my wife. When I called, he answered. He always answered. We never had a cross word. He always answered. I look forward to joining him and Dad. Ron.  Oh!  Now I can tell the other stories about what happened on the farm he was afraid I might have told in my book. Brother Ron. 

Jim was a good friend you always enjoyed being with from the early years at Harvester Engineering to the Navistar retiree  lunches where we recalled the old stories about work. Jim was the one who could usually remember the names of those involved in the funny or sometimes serious stories.  we will surely miss him.

My family and I spent a week with Jim, the Roussey family, and many friends this past summer at Dale Hollow. Drinking coffee with Jim each morning and sharing stories was a daily ritual on the trip.  Although my time getting to know him was short, my memory of his kindness and humor will last forever. 

Lynda & Family, we are so sorry to hear about Jim. It was very unexpected. Jim was a good man and a very good friend. We have good memories of camping and our get-togethers. Jim & I (Jerry) had many good years working together in the same office at Navistar.

We will be thinking of you all.

Lots of great memories at the lake.  He was a second dad to me.  He will be missed!!  RIP Jim until we meet again.

Jim was a true professional in his days at Navistar since I first met him back in 1995.
He put his company first in all of his time there.
I knew then he was a good man and I needed to get him to be my friend. So we  became friends and it was really then did I realize his number one priority in life was his family.  
We will miss his infectious smile and his keen sense of humor particularly on the golf course!

I have nothing but the fondest memories of Jim. Although Jim and I worked for the same company (Pana-Pacific), he handled the Navistar factory business and I handled the OEM aftermarket business so we didn't work together often. Whenever I did see Jim, he was always very friendly and always had a smile on his face. His attitude was infectious. He and I did go on a company trip together to Japan and I was glad that Jim was on the trip because he made it more enjoyable. He mixed with people of all characters and never seemed to take himself too seriously. He was smart, talented and we were lucky to have him as an employee for 7 years. I was sad to see him retire but I'm glad he got to enjoy himself and his family after retirement. My prayers go out to his wife and family.

We lost a great man of inspiring integrity. I was fortunate enough to  work and visit with him on multiple occasions. Each time I was able to visit with him he offered wisdom and guidance. I never had to introduce myself but once; after that I was like family even if it had been 2 years since the last time we visited. He truly saw the best in everyone. Will never forget his laughter, intuition and character. Our world needs more Jim's.  I will keep his entire family and friends in my prayers as you are challenged with his loss. He will never be forgotten by me for sure.
