Obituary of James L. Syndram
James Lincoln Syndram, 62, went to join his twin brother, John, in heaven on June 6, 2021. The son of Richard Sr. and Donna Syndram, he was born on Feb 12, 1959. On Nov 7, 1992, he married Stephanie (Scott) and they enjoyed 28 years together. He is the father of two sons by his previous marriage, Joshua and Charles. He worked at the FW Foundry for years, and most recently worked security at Indiana Auto Auction. He was a long-time fan of the Indianapolis Colts and looked forward to football season. He enjoyed taking long drives and discovering new shortcuts, and loved going fishing, especially when he could show off for his son and grandkids. Jim’s love for music was a big part of his life. He wrote songs and played guitar, mostly by ear and without reading music. He has always been a fighter. As a young man, he trained in Tao Kwan Do, promising his mom that he wouldn’t fight his twin brother. He battled his cancer fiercely - saying he was the poster child of various treatments and proclaiming that he needed to “beat this because he needed to be here to take care of his wife”. “The sound of his voice will remain in our hearts forever.” Surviving are his wife, Stephanie; his sons, Joshua (Mindy), and Charles (Mickey), grandsons, AJ and Jeremiah; his parents, Richard and Donna; siblings, Sheryl (Tom) Merchant, Richard Jr. (Kellie), Lori (Tim) Price, Patty (Greg) Fulk, and Michael (Jayme); as well as other extended family. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, John. Visitation for James will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
