James Taylor, 94, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Born on June 16, 1920 in Lancashire, England, he was a son of the late Samuel and Sarah Taylor. James served in the United States Air Force for several years during the WWII Era as a navigator on a B17 Bomber. James graduated from Lawrence Technological University earning a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. He served the City of Ferndale, Michigan as a civil engineer for over 30 years; retiring in 1977. James enjoyed dancing, traveling with his Airstream, and Remote Control Aircraft. He is survived by his daughters, Jo Anne (William) Reid of Gladstone, MI and Christine M. (Doug) Woolcott of Burlington, MI; son, Douglas (Cynthia) Taylor of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Taylor; two sisters, Lily and Sally; and brother, Jack.
