I am so blessed to have known Jane and her family. Jane was my midwife when I gave birth to my two younger daughters 36 and 32 years ago. I could not have asked for a better birth attendant. She was compassionate and caring but also knowledgeable, she had a way of helping the mom giving birth to have confidence in her own self. Also, loved hearing Jane and David playing at Johnny Appleseed for many years.

Jane Dawkins, a beautiful woman who touched the lives of countless mothers and families. She gave to us a gift that we will forever be grateful for, that being the opportunity to experience the miracle of birth close to our heart in the intimacy of our home.
Through sacrifice and perseverance she blazed the trail of opposition, endured the trials which ultimately helped pave the way for a more friendly environment for other midwives and families in her path.
Having much wisdom and experience she trained multiple midwives with those same skills to which they now continue her legacy of blessing another generation with this special gift of love.
I am one of those mothers who was privileged to have Jane at four of five home deliveries and yes as her health allowed we were graced with her presense at the birth of three of our precious grandchildren.
We thank our Heavenly Father for your sacrificial life.
It is an honor and privilege to pay tribute to you this day.
We love you Jane!

Jane was such a beautiful soul and a wonderful mother, musician and midwife. My heart goes out to her family suffering such a loss so soon after David's death.
She brought my son Graham into the world Dec 31st 1982 after many hours of reassurance, shared wisdom & terrible tasting but effective medicinal teas. Her assistant showed up around 9:30 PM decked out in evening dress and pearls (being New Years Eve). Surrounded by many friends and her loving care it was one of the highlights of my life. The world could really use her kind of love right now.
Thankyou Jane

i was saddened to hear of the passing of Jane. She and David were among the students in my first two years of teaching at Fairfield Middle School. I felt happy whenever our paths would cross, usually at the Johnny Appleseed Festival. Both my wife and I enjoyed her performances. We always had a good laugh in our conversations. She was a unique character. My condolences to her family for this tragic loss.
