Jane Alverta Kuntz, age 95, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024. She was born November 24, 1928 in Altoona, Penn. to the late Blaine and Pearl (nee Ott) Tillman. Jane would wed the love of her life, Walter Kuntz, on June 14, 1951 in Latrobe, Penn.
Jane and Walter owned and operated West State Package Liquor for over twenty years, and would work for Cap n' Cork prior to her retirement in 2007.
Jane had many passions and interests, including her labrador retrievers, dancing The Jitterbug with Walt, and sitting on the front porch, but cherished the time spent with friends and family, especially the grandchildren the most.
Jane is survived by her sons, David (Sheryl) Kuntz and Gary (Susan Anson) Kuntz; grandchildren, Joe (Kara) Kuntz, Shawn (Shannon) McDowell, Sarah (Waylon) Shaffer, and Lindsay (Matt) Hayes; great-grandchildren, Owen McDowell, Logan McDowell, Tara McDowell, Zoey Shaffer, Gus Shaffer, Gavin Steir, Tessa Kuntz, Grace Hayes, and Ava Hayes; and sister-in-law, Pat Kuntz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kuntz; and twin brother, Blaine Tillman.
The family would like to thank the great nurses and staff of Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne for the great caring of our Mom during her four year stay.
Funeral Service is 4:00 pm, Monday, June 17 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 E. Dupont Rd with calling three hours prior.
