Janet dedicated much of her life to caring for others through her work as an accomplished hospice nurse. For three decades, she compassionately served her community, offering comfort, kindness, and support to patients and their families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Her dedication to her profession reflected her caring heart and the difference she made in the lives of so many.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Janet loved spending time in her gardens, carefully tending to her flower beds and enjoying the beauty of each season. During the summer months, she especially looked forward to traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains, a place where she could relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Above all, Janet cherished her family. She is survived by her children, Michael Yost and Christopher (Karen) Yost; her grandchildren, Cole Yost and Connor Yost; and her sister, Patricia Harrison. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and all those whose lives she touched throughout her many years of caring and service.
Janet will be laid to rest at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
Her kindness, compassion, and love for those around her will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she leaves behind will be treasured always.
