Janice Kathryn Voglewede, age 89, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was born January 18, 1936 in New Bremen, Ohio to the late Walter and LeVerne McCollum and graduated from New Bremen High School, Class of '54. Jan married the late Donald R. Voglewede on April 4, 1959 in New Bremen.
She loved to work puzzles, listen to swing music and was an avid Lawrence Welk fan. Jan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister and cherished the time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jan is survived by her children, Jayne (Brad) Smuts and Teresa (Kim) Tracey of New Haven, Indiana, Tom (Teri) Voglewede of Fleming Island, Florida, Rick (Shirley) Voglewede of South Bend, Indiana and Kathryn (David) Foellinger of Fishers, Indiana; grandchildren, Brittany (Seth) Cowley, Jordan (Stephanie) Smuts, Jaclyn (Ian) Wuest, Allyson (Chad) Fortman, Connor (Sarah) Voglewede, Troy (Stephanie) Voglewede, Kameron (Hannah) Foellinger, Alek Foellinger, Chad Tracey, Laney Foellinger, Melissa (Mike) Lyons, Michelle Fisette, and John (Tiffany) Fisette; great-grandchildren, Nora, Harris, Crosby, Riley, Charlotte, Owen, Avery, Elizabeth, Jill, Willow, Thea, Tanner, Alicia, Ally, Caden, Josh, Nate, Nick, and Addie; sisters, Sue Shockney and Ginny (Tom) Braun; and brother, Bill (Anne) McCollum.
Jan was predeceased by sister, Patricia Topp; and brother, Jack McCollum.
Funeral Service is 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 12 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Rd, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Friends and family will also be received 4:30 - 7:30 PM, Tuesday, March 11 at the funeral home. Interment at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur, Indiana.
