Jasmine radiated strength, warmth, and joy Her vibrant spirit and
infectious laughter made her a magnetic presence in every room. She lived life with passion and kindness, always finding ways to lift
others up and make them feel seen and cherished.
Jasmine graduated from South Side High School and later pursued her calling in healthcare, becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her dedication to caring for others extended beyond her profession - it was reflection of her heart.
As she grew into adulthood, Jasmine became a devoted mother to her two beloved sons, Trayon Haywood and Martavius Brown Jr. Her love for them was boundless, and she poured her heart into nurturing and guiding them. She was also a loyal sister and a cherished friend to many.
Jasmine's strength and determination inspired those around her. Her compassion touched countless lives, and her outgoing nature made her unforgettable. She embraced life fully, sharing joy, laughter, and love with everyone she met.
On October 17, 2025, Jasmine was called home unexpectedly. Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of her family and her wide circle of friends. Though her time with us was far too short, the
warmth of her smile and the love she shared will live on in the memories of all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Trayon and Martavius; her parents, Keri Martin and Timothy Haywood; her grandmothers, Donna Refka and Betty Crochran; her siblings, Malik Rasheed, Antwan Haywood, Dawan Haywood, Rashawn Haywood, Jade Haywood, Justin Haywood, "Lil` Ossie Martin, Tyaris Haywood, Zaniyah Haywood, and Mikayla Martin; bonus dad, Ossie Martin Jr.; and a host of other siblings, family members and friends whose lives were enriched by her presence.
Jasmine's legacy is one of love, laughter, and light- a legacy that will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.
A Celebration of Life Service was held at Imani Baptist Temple, located at 2920 Indiana Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46807, on October 28, 2025, at 11:00 am. Services were officiated by Bishop Bill McGill.
