Jayla Raquel Davis

Jayla was born on December 17, 2007, to Kanaah R. Ash and Robert S. Davis. She graduated from New Haven High School with the Class of 2025 and had successfully completed her first year at Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW), where she was working toward building a bright future.

Jayla was truly the life of the party. She had a vibrant personality and never hesitated to speak her mind. She brought laughter and energy wherever she went. Jayla loved swimming, dancing, and working hard to earn her own money. More than anything, Jayla cherished spending time with her family and friends, and creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Jayla leaves to cherish her memory her father, Robert S. Davis; stepmother, LaTisha Davis; mother, Kanaah R. Ash; stepfather, Contrell Ash; sisters, Jade Davis, Janay Davis, and Jaana Davis; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Kiaundra Davis, Jason Ash, Contrell Ash Jr., Rylynn Ash, Nehemiah Ash, Treasure Jordan, Khaalis Williams, and Khaalia Williams; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched deeply.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Lenetha Davis, and her cousin, Ebony Hill.

Though Jayla's life was far too short, the love, joy, and unforgettable spirit she shared with everyone around her will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will take place at Concordia Cemetery Associates Inc., 5365 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46815.
