Jerry loved his family, fishing, camping and watching western movies. He also enjoyed sitting on the porch. He retired after 35 years from Zollner Pistons.
Jerry is survived by his children, Todd (Stephanie) Walda, David Walda, Jamey (Tim) Christlieb and Jerry Baumgardner Jr.; a brother, Jeff B. (Leigh) Baumgardner; a sister, Judy Hobbs; 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Baumgardner; and brother, Jimmy Baumgardner.
Funeral service is 1:00 pm, on Monday, January 5, 2026, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, located at 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne (46805), with calling one hour prior. Interment at Lindenwood Cemetery to follow. Family and friends are also welcome for calling on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
