

Jerry D. Holloway, 82, of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016. He was born on April 13, 1933 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Wilfred K. and Lucile (Dornan) Holloway. He was a 1951 graduate of South Side H.S. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. He worked for Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 166. He was a proud member of Local 166 for 63 years where he was also an instructor. He appreciated camping, boating, hiking, and traveling in the family RV. For the past 14 years he delighted in wintering in Lakeland, FL. He especially enjoyed his time spent with family. Surviving family include his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 60 years, Rita A. Holloway; children, Kent and Mark (Jennifer) Holloway, Angela (Charles) Adamonis, and Denise Holloway Cayot; grandchildren, Colton, Andrea, Matt, and Mitch Holloway, Cheyenne, Sydney, and Reese Adamonis, and Grant Cayot; and sister, Bonnie Holloway. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by a grandson, Andrew Mark Holloway; and a sister, Lois Holloway Plum. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 5-8 pm on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse or Matthew 25.
