Joann E Tompkins, age 90 passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Joann was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to James and Esther (Hutson) Welch. Joann was the wife of the late Harold E. Tompkins. She retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools in the payroll department. Survived by her children Mary Wimsatt, Joseph Michael (Betty) Tompkins, Deborah (Herb) Armstrong, Cynthia A. (Glen) Huskey, Marilyn K Hiott, Timothy J(Sonja) Tompkins, 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 19 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Joann will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, IN, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Garden Cemetery.
