Joanne and I met in 1st or 2nd grade, we were on the playground at St Charles Borromeo Elementary School playing with our "Troll dolls". We all had several but I really liked one that Joanne had so I stole it when she wasn't looking. She questioned me for a couple days until I finally confessed and returned it to her. (Thank goodness she forgave me!) We were inseparable from that point on. Many overnights at each others home, but got into trouble a lot with Mr & Mrs Dager........they had rules about bedtime even on the weekends. But.....we would sneak to the familyroom doorway and watch the forbidden "Johnny Carson Show" at 11:00 pm on Fridays. We would also get on our bikes in the AM and ride all over town until dark. We spent many hours tanning and hanging out it the Dager's pool. Joanne taught me about Sun-In for our hair and baby oil to get the best tan. Such wonderful memories. I moved away to Ohio at the end of our freshman year of high school and we kept in touch as much as we could back then. Calls were long distance so we had to write a lot of letters. We saw each other as much as we could. Back then they didn't have major highways to get us back and forth so it was a long 2-2 1/2 hour drive. We both married and started our families. We continued to stay in touch but life got in the way and it was fewer and farther between visits. We met each other's children when they were little, what a beautiful family she and Mark created! More recently we reconnected through Facebook and I was so happy to hear from her. She was never one to like her picture taken so I am very happy that her family has posted some more recent pics of her on this site! She was my beautiful friend inside and out! We are keeping all of you close in our loving thoughts and prayers during this adjustment to life without her physical presence, but know that she will always be with you in spirit. God bless.
Love,
The Fisher Family, Perrysburg, Ohio
