John Morgan Brunson

He was a graduate of Indiana University where he earned his Doctorate of Law Degree in 1980. John was an Attorney for over 35 years in St. Petersburg, Florida.

John enjoyed all watersports especially fishing, he was also an avid sports fan but most of all he loved caring for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Fitzgerald of Tierra Verde, Florida; brother, Randy Brunson; brother-in-law Jim Fitzgerald (wife-Courtney); nieces and nephews, Laura Suggs (husband-David), Alex and Daniel Brunson, Will, Ian, and Evan Fitzgerald; great-niece and nephews, Carolyn and Jason Suggs and Wyatt Fitzgerald and by all of the family he loved.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Brunson; father, Ray Brunson; and his sister-in-law, Joanna Brunson.

A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022, Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Ave, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Friends and family may gather one hour prior to service time.

A service will be held in Florida at a later date.
