John H. Hesley, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, February 15, 2015, at home in Medina Ohio. Born March 14, 1924, in Fort Wayne, he served honorably in the 542nd Parachute Infantry Battalion based in Fort Benning, GA during WWII. He worked for Essex Wire Corporation, Lincoln Life Insurance, The News-Sentinel, and International Harvester. He was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
He is survived by Stephen F. Hesley of Warren, MI, Stuart M. (Laila) of Fredericksburg, VA, and Stanley S. (Irma) of Medina, OH; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse of 60 years, Catherine T. Hesley (Leto) on November 11, 2008.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday, February 26 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Burial will be a private service at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
