John William Miller, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away on October 20, 2026, at The Terrace at Fort Wayne. Born May 10, 1938, in Coldwater, Mich., he was a son of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Crippen) Miller. John proudly served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching westerns, gardening, birdwatching, and playing cards. Mostly, he enjoyed talking to anybody and everybody that he could; he never knew a stranger. He is survived by his wife, Lavonne M. Miller of Fort Wayne; daughters, Sally (John) Storey of Fort Wayne and Tiffany (Mark) Erickson of Warren, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Tina Miller of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Miller. Funeral Service is 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne, with visitation two hours prior.
