John Jacob “B.J.” Satterthwaite, Jr., 51, passed away July 18, 2021, at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis.

He worked at Rick Ridings in Monticello, Illinois, as a Parts and Service Director, at O’Brien Auto Park as a Service Director and worked as a State Farm agent in Kendallville, Indiana since June 2012.

John’s life was filled with love. Love of 80s hair bands and George Strait, love of Kevin Costner movies, love of farming and love of Motocross.

I will always remember John as one of my Bomber players at Brownstown. Many years later, I was having my car serviced in Urbana and he was my service writer. He was really surprised when I reflected on one particular game, and I’m guessing that his mom might remember her advice to young John. To his family, take care and enjoy the memories. Coach Niccum

I have many great memories of BJ and his brothers and sister. We grew up just down the street from each other and were always playing together. Many great times together.

I have many great school memories with John. He was always so smart in scholar bowl! He will be greatly missed!
