John C. Silverman

John C. Silverman, 68, of Fort Wayne died from complications of COVID 19 on December 9, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital. John was born in New York, New York, on May 25, 1952; the son of the late Manuel and Margaret Silverman. He was a devoted caregiver to both of his parents, and is survived by his daughter Rachel (Joseph) Wetzel; two grandsons, Sidney and Julian Wetzel; his siblings; Geoffrey Silverman (Fran Weitzman Schlesinger) and Julie (Ryan) Ditton; and his fiancée Victoria Klemmetsen. John was a member of the South Side High School graduating class of 1970, and obtained a BFA from the University of Minnesota in 1974. He most recently worked as a landlord, owning and managing several residential properties in Fort Wayne. He previously worked in ad sales for WFFT-TV, MMT International, WAYNE-TV, and at Custom Video Communications in Fort Wayne. John was a loving son, brother, fiancé, father and grandfather. He was an able handyman who enjoyed gardening, great food and sarcasm, and made friends wherever he went. He will be tremendously missed. A memorial service for John will be postponed to summer of 2021, when we hope to gather safely. John was grateful for the care his father Manny received at Saint Anne Communities -- Randalia Place.
