Jon David Clifton, 79, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, October, 28, 2016 at his home with his wife by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Ted and Esther (Newman) Clifton. A U.S. Army veteran, Jon was a Chief Engineer with CTS/Global Tool for 38 years, from which he retired in 2001. A member of SCCA since 1958, his life was cars and he was known as the “Elva Guy”. His heart belonged to three very special granddaughters, Isabella, Hailey, and Miss. Stella Romain. Grandpa said he will always be your angel in Heaven. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Barbara A. (Stoker) Clifton of Fort Wayne; sons, Chad (Tracy) Elder of Fort Wayne and Jim Clifton of Michigan; daughter, Mary (Jason) Romain of Windermere, FL.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul Clifton; and sister, Carmen Wellman. Private Services will be held by the family. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
