

Jon DeRay “Jack” Ford, 74, died Wednesday, December 14th into God’s loving care. He is survived by his devoted wife of thirty years Robin, his five children: Tonya (Mark) Brown, Edward Ford, Tina (Mike) Muzzillo, Teresa (Ron) Dunn, Alexander Ford, his sister, Nancy and brother, Robert. His youngest son, Andrew Ford is with him in heaven. He also had 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Jack came to Fort Wayne from Bellevue, Ohio with a young wife and daughter in 1962 to work on Interstate 69. After many years as an over-the-road truck driver, he settled into the perfect occupation for him – Sales. Until recently he could be found selling carpet at Three Kings Carpet. It was said of Jack that he could sell swimsuits in the artic. Those who knew him well can tell the story of his life from his varied interests: shooting pool, trap shooting, hunting, camping, bass fishing, waterskiing, karate, photography, skydiving, piloting, baker of homemade bread, playing the guitar and finally, Harley rider. He and his wife enjoyed many road trips together. At age 72, he drove his Harley from Indiana to California. Yes, Jack Ford a loving husband, father, friend, and story teller jumped from thing to thing, but at least he jumped. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am on Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven, Indiana 46774 with a gathering of friends and family one hour prior.
