

JOSEPH A. CRANDALL, of Fort Wayne, died on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital. Born July 6, 1933, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late George Arthur Crandall and Roberta Crandall. He was a truck driver with Renners Express for 30+ years and member of F.O.E. 248, Teamsters Local 414 and American Legion Post 241. Surviving are his second wife, Thelma (Payton); son, James (Karen); daughter, Judy McGuire; sons, Joseph (Kathie) Crandall, Jeff Crandall, Jerry Crandall and John Crandall; daughters, Jennie (Bruce) LeSure and Jeanne (Tim) Doehrman; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Janice (Carpenter); son-in-law, Michael McGuire; and son, Jack Crandall. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Don Doehrman officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or The Carriage House.
